Exilby (VER-01) ,Developed by the German biopharmaceutical company VERTANICAL for the treatment of chronic lower back pain, it is the first cannabis (marijuana)-based non-opioid painkiller to receive marketing approval in Europe.. 
The drug aims to provide a potent and non-addictive alternative to traditional opioids and NSAIDs in the treatment of chronic pain

Technical details regarding bottle size and dosing mechanism are as follows:

  • Volume: Each commercial bottle contains exactly 30 mL of liquid medication. 
  • Unit Dose: Each standard dose unit drawn from the syringe in this formulation has a volume of 119 µL (microliters) . This single dose contains 2.5 mg THC, 0.1 mg cannabigerol (CBG), and 0.02 mg cannabidiol (CBD) as active ingredients.
Key Characteristics and Clinical Success
  • Botanical Ingredients: This is a standardized, full-spectrum extract obtained from a specific strain of the Cannabis sativa plant (DKJ127 L.). It contains cannabinoids (THC, CBD) and terpenes in specific proportions. 
  • Powerful Effect: Demonstrated to significantly reduce pain in two large Phase 3 clinical trials involving over 1,200 patients. 
  • Superior Tolerance: In direct comparison tests with opioids, it was more successful in reducing pain and did not cause serious gastrointestinal problems such as constipation, a common side effect of opioids. 
  • No Risk of Addiction: Clinical observations of over 12 months showed no signs of addiction in patients.
